Guide for Teachers: Where's the Queer Curriculum?
CELLPHILMS
Cellphilms are short films made with a cellphone that takes up a prompt. With LGBTQ+ youth, pre-service teachers, community collaborators, and allies, we have created short cellphilms that take up the prompt, “Where are our 2LGBTQ+ histories?” We have created conversation guides and lesson plans for each of our cellphilms so that teachers might engage learners in conversation about the themes arising from the media. Check out our 'How to Make a Cellphilm’ toolkit and a series of "How to Make Cellphilms" videos produced by our friends at the Université du Montreal to support teachers and community members who seek to bring cellphilming into their own classrooms. We encourage folks to create cellphilms and other art-based responses to our work!
